Service is very responsive without being overbearing. All of the food was prepared perfectly and the risotto is absolutely amazing!
Great food. Steak and sides were fantastic. The service was amazing. Desert was phenomenal. Highly recommend it.
10 words or less: Great Fine Dining, Hidden Gem, $$$$Aesthetic: This is a typical high end restaurant, nothing out of the ordinary. If you want a solid Steak/Seafood romantic dinner - this is the place.Gluten Free:YES. I told them gluten free on my reservation, and they went the whole NINE yards. Even a separate gluten free bread basket. What we ate: I took two girls for a birthday dinner, and one had stuffed shrimp, the other had a chicken pasta dish. I had bacon wrapped scallops and shrimp. The salads were also to die for. ProsThis is a nice restaurant, with great service. ConsIt's pricey, and the location is little odd. However, the transformed the entrance - you can't even tell it's in a shopping center. Would I go again: Absolutely... For a special occasion. Other: They are very responsive to reservation requests, and do birthday desserts if you reserve ahead.
My wife and I went for our 2nd anniversary the atmosphere was very nice server's were extremely professional and the food was absolutely perfect.
What can I not say about this place. If you don't like an awesome ambiance, don't go! If you don't like top tier service, don't go! If you don't like perfectly prepared and delicious food, don't go! If you don't like leaving only planning your next visit, don't go! This is Waco's only 5 star restaurant, that is located in Hewitt. Let me simply say be prepared to pay for your visit. Ill be back, but its going to be later rather than sooner, need to save up.
Excellent choice to spend our anniversary in this classy restaurantA huge thanks to the gentleman who served us this evening. He made us feel at home..The steak and seafood is excellent ChoiceI had the citrus sea bass with risotto. That’s so good. It’s our first time here. I give this place a five star
The best steak I have had in quite some time. The drinks were amazing and their service was phenomenal! Will definitely be back
Oh my goodness!!! The whole experience was outstanding. Olivia was very helpful in making our reservations, she listened and had the perfect table set for us. Missy was our waitress and she was outstanding. She anticipated every need and I never had to ask for anything. We started with the lobster bisque and their signature salad, chateaubriand, creme brulee for dessert. The chateaubriand was cooked to perfection and sliced as smooth as butter. Everything was perfect! If you haven't been, go!
Our server was an amazing 24 year old kid with so much enthusiasm and smile throughout the entire meal. Dinner was delicious with lobster Gnocchi for me and chicken/shrimp carbonara for the man - did not disappoint. ❤❤❤ I will say I could've smuggled and entire loaf of that olive bread in my purse - shut yo mouth!?!?!? Would definitely recommend and will definitely return when we come to Waco to visit again.
Im not completely sure what to think about 135 Prime. It's a good dinner, not a great dinner. It's the best selection of seafood in town, by far. However, there are times when the seafood is not as fresh as its price point. The decor was quite nice in the 90s, time for a touch of modern. The bar menu is varied and deep, but the prices on a Manhattan should never break 15 bucks in Waco, TX. Nevermind 20. There are prices listed for wine, but none for the booze, that makes me feel like I'm being cheated. If your seated near the kitchen, asked to be moved, too much traffic. 135 is a fine place for an occasional visit, but half your money could be better spent elsewhere.
We both agree everything was perfect. Our waitress "Missy" made our visit very enjoyable. Would highly recommend to anyone looking for the best steak and dining experience here in town.🤗😊
You don't get many fall nights in Waco, but when you get one, you have to enjoy dinner on the 135 Prime patio. Pomegranate martini is a new fresh fav. Crab cakes were spot on. Wedge and house salads were light and refreshing. Sea Bass a la Prime was cooked perectly. Great dessert choices with coffee by the heaters topped the night off. Service was fantastic.
Before all the necessary social distancing, we decided to give this place a try. So first, I will say, the service and wine are great. However, they tried to serve me raw lamb and tell me that’s the way it is supposed to be served. I know I’m not a professional chef but I eat a lot of lamb. It is not suppose to be raw in the middle. Pink maybe, but this was raw meat. The server took the tiniest chops back and were recooked. They came back as tiny, shriveled and sad pieces of meat. I was pretty disappointed. We paid a lot of money for our meal and it was NOT worth the price. I would have been happier eating coconut shrimp at George’s.
Wow! We are so glad we tried this! It's exactly what we were looking for in a special night out! Don't miss out and don't doubt going here for a special occasion!
Celebrated our thirty fifth anniversary here at thirty five prime. Food was excellent. definitely will come back.
Everything was delicious! My husband said it's the best steak he's ever had. I love escargot and this is the only place in Waco you can get it. Their coffee is wonderful and the complimentary creme brule for our anniversary was a nice surprise.
We have dined here many time. However, the last few times we were there, I feel the place is making it only on their earlier reputation. The place has totally declined in quality and service. We were there a couple of weeks ago for a birthday celebration. We had drinks at the bar and also dined at the bar. The bartender/waiter was rude, and condescending. The food, was mediocre at best. The medallions, which I have ordered many times, were miniscule. The NY strip was tiny and thin. I really hate that this place has declined so horribly. Sad to see it. Don't waste your money.
Fabulous look. Fantastic waiters. Lobster Gnocchi was wonderful. The Ribeye steak was thin and chewy. It had a great sauce on it but the meat had a weird texture. Don't think it's worth 57.00. I'm from KC and our steaks are way better. The salads were really good.
Really great restaurant and not just a good one ‘For Waco’. Salt Grass is ok but it’s a chain and you get that chain feel. This restaurant could stand on its own in Dallas. The wine list is the best. They offer phenomenal standards like Stags Leap and Chalk Hill BY THE GLASS!
Had the most amazing "Mixed seafood grill". The fish simply melts in your mouth! Very attentive staff! Well worth every dime!
The waitress suggested the duck fat braised cognac to finish the ribeye. Fantastic choice. She also recommended the lobster risotto, another winner. They had tempranillo by the glass, which is fairly rare and my favorite varietal. Some of the best food I've had.
Great drinks, amazing food and interesting atmosphere. If I need to impress people I'll take them here!
Enjoyed celebrating my birthday tonight. Dinner was delicious!
So my wife and I just left there and I have to say that the service and the food were perfect. We moved to Waco from Las Vegas and while we are spoiled for fine dining this place is on par with anywhere that we have dined. Thank you for a wonderful evening 135 we’ll be back!
Best steak I've had! And the service was outstanding. Good atmosphere as well. I highly recommend
Out steak was cooked to absolute perfection. The side dish vegetables were tasteless and not good. Why pay these prices for just a piece of meat? So then the dessert came and it was creme brulee. There was enough sugar in it to kill a horse. Moderation, my friends, moderation......
Always a great experience. Great food great service and the chocolate tower is awesome.
Don't let it's presence in a strip mall confuse you. The food is solidly good. Wait staff were friendly and observant. Portions were good and well prepared. Desert and coffee were very good. You'll enjoy it.
The best fillet steak I've had in many years. With side of asparagus and great attention from the staff.
I wanted to say thank you to all the staff and our wonderful waiter, who made my husband and my 37th wedding anniversary so wonderful! On the 28th of May 2020, at 1730 we arrived for a special dinner and it was awsome from the front right thru to our table. The waiter was the nicest young man and he was knowledgeable of everything. This was our first visit to One ThirtyFive Prime but not our last. The food was excellent and we could've been more pleased. Thank you again.
From the time we walked in all the way to the end of service everything was amazing The Host the bartender and the server for all top-notch would definitely come back any day......
Don't let the shopping center location fool you! Excellent steak, seafood and wine list. Great staff.
135 prime is a marvelous restaurant with good food great ambiance and waiters like my waiter Lloyd who care about your experience and make sure you leave with a full belly and a high possibility to recommend/come & come again. I will recommend this place for large families of the adult variety (no kids) or even for date night maybe not necessarily for one person unless you like particular types of food/drink not found anywhere else in Waco. All in all my experience at this restaurant was a good experience and I enjoyed it immensely and would definitely come back at later time.
We wanted to find a nice romantic (upscale) restaurant to continue our wedding anniversary tradition. Found the selection in Waco to be quite limited. Of the few matches, we decided to give 135 Prime a try. We weren't disappointed. The Kobe beef tenderloins were cooked perfectly. Kudos to the chef and his staff. Also to Alan - our waiter - who really enjoys his job and knows how to take care of his guests. Be prepared to pay for the experience... this isn't a "chain" restaurant... but it is worth it!
A real disapointment. We enjoy good food and have eaten at many top steak houses across the country in Chicago, New York, Washington DC, Las Vegas, and CA. I don't often write a negative review, but when people are asked to support a cost, those people should expect a good meal. This was not a meal reflective of the cost. One Thirty Five Prime had been recommended so we gave it a try. 3 of us shared the crab cake and short ribs apps; the short ribs were very salty and the crab cakes were dry. We moved on to the entree's and were again disapointed. The risoto was so salty none of us ate it. The Salmon was not evenly cooked. The Sea Bass was good but not exceptional. The desserts were good and the cocktails were good. We do not recommend spending the money for mediocre food.
If you're looking for fine dinning with quality food or the perfect place for a romantic evening this is the place. The ambience combined with top notch cuisine set the mood for a chill experience. Chef Cayman Colunga & crew are the best!
I will never eat a steak from anyone except 135 Prime. The food was so good. If you are allowed to ask for a specific waiter ask for Tim. He helped me locate a good wine for the meal. Honestly folks their steaks are how everyone should make their steaks. So Good!!I was a little disappointed that the meal would end. We ordered the Chateaubriand Dinner for Two, it was fantastic. I was a fan of Outback and Texas Land and Cattle, this restaurant has changed my expectations of how a steak should really taste. The one thing I would suggest is to check the menu on-line (the restaurant site). Yes, I am that person and I am sending a message to google to update their prices.
